The Hurricanes were formed in 1996. They represent the New Zealand Rugby Provincial Unions of East Coast, Poverty Bay, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Wairarapa-Bush, Horowhenua-Kapiti & Wellington. Their home ground is the Westpac Stadium (known by some as the Cake Tin) in Wellington.
Their Colours are Yellow with Black trim.
